PETALING JAYA: Home favourite Anthony Ginting recaptured the Indonesian Masters crown that he won two years ago after denying Denmark’s Anders Antonsen his career’s first title defence.

The 23-year-old Anthony prevailed 17-21,21-15,21-9 in a pulsating men’s singles final that lasted 71 minutes at the Istora Senayan in Jakarta yesterday.

Anthony’s triumph summed up a splendid day for the hosts as they also won the men’s doubles and women’s doubles events. The world No. 8 Greysia-Apriyani took 80 minutes to tame the their world No. 30 opponents 18-21,21-11,23-11, denying them their first ever World Tour victory. China’s world No.1 mixed doubles pair Zheng Siwei-Huang Yaqiong, also made it three on the trot, by triumphing 21-9,21-9 over Wang Yilyu-Huang Dongping.
