Malaysian billionaire businessman Lim Kok Thay has resigned as chairman and CEO of Genting Hong Kong, with the company facing liquidation. – AFP pic, January 24, 2022.

GENTING Hong Kong chairman and chief executive officer Lim Kok Thay has stepped down, according to the company in a stock exchange filing today. Malaysian Lim – the majority shareholder with a 76% stake in the company – resigned, along with deputy CEO and president Au Fook Yew, with the cruise line apparently dashed on the financial rocks.
