Ketua Polis Daerah Ampang Jaya Asisten Komisioner Noor Azmi Yusoff berkata, kejayaan itu susulan laporan dibuat lelaki berusia 31 tahun, semalam yang menyedari rumahnya di Taman Melawati dipecah masuk ketika bangun tidur pada 7 pagi.
"Pemeriksaan nombor pendaftaran kenderaan mendapati ia palsu dan anggota menahan suspek berusia 21 hingga 49 tahun terpaksa menggunakan kekerasan minimum selepas suspek cuba melarikan diri," katanya pada sidang media, hari ini. Noor Azmi mengakui pergelutan ketika penahanan itu namun, tidak membabitkan kecederaan dan menegaskan tindakan memijak seorang daripada suspek bukanlah untuk mencederakan.
Menurutnya, suspek tidak mempunyai nombor dokumen perjalanan sah dan soal siasat ke atas mereka membolehkan seorang lagi suspek berusia 41 tahun ditahan di Setapak Central Mall, Taman Danau Kota.
