PETALING JAYA: Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong and wife Datin Seri Jessica Lim have cast their votes, joining millions of other Malaysians to do so for the 15th General Election (GE15).

The couple voted at the SK Yong Peng polling station in Johor on Saturday morning (Nov 19).The Barisan Nasional-MCA candidate said even Tan Chong, who was elected Bekok assemblyman in the Johor election in March, was not spared from such attacks especially with the campaigning period coming to a close soon..The Barisan Nasional candidate for the Ayer Hitam parliamentary seat said the rain, which has been ongoing since around 6am on polling day, could be one of the reasons why.

My wife and I just finished casting our votes at SK Yong Peng.Hopefully the voting process today goes smoothly," he said in a Facebook post on Saturday (Nov 19).He also highlighted several developments he brought to Labis, including adding SMK Seri Bali, an additional secondary school to Chaah as the town only had one secondary school - SMK Chaah - prior to that.Dr Wee also posted a picture of him and his wife at the ballot box with their inked index fingers.He added that he would be visiting several polling centres in the constituency to observe the situation.

Polling for GE15 started at 8am and will end at 6pm on Saturday (Nov 19).Meanwhile, MCA president Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong, who was also present at the event, showed his support for Chua, adding that the candidate was no stranger to the constituency.Article type: free.
