IPOH: Garbage collection and cleaning services in most of the city will be affected after several workers from the concessionaire tested positive for Covid-19.

Ipoh Mayor Datuk Rumaizi Baharin said the affected workers have been ordered to undergo quarantine and this has disrupted the services.

“Several workers from concessionaire LTC Alam Bersih Sdn Bhd tested positive for Covid-19 last week. Some of them are staying in a hostel and are close contacts. They have been ordered to be quarantined,” he added in a statement on Wednesday . Rumaizi added that the scheduled garbage collection services will now be handled by the city council.
