The inaugural programme was to promote a healthy and active lifestyle among the ministry staff.

It was part of the Agenda Nasional Malaysia Sihat that was initiated by the government last year to help Malaysians cope in transitioning to the endemic phase of Covid-19.

Federal Territories Minister Datuk Seri Shahidan Kassim, in his speech at the event, said the ministry staff must lead by example such as keeping active and making right food choices for good health.“It is important for people in Putrajaya and ministry staff to use the facilities and show a good example to others,” he said, noting that people from other countries often mentioned the greatness of Malaysia.

“It will be a waste and an embarrassment if city dwellers do not use the facilities or are unaware of its existence,” he said. At the launch of the programme, the staff took part in aerobics and later went for free basic medical and dental check-ups.The programme was extended to the people in Kuala Lumpur through the MyMedic@Wilayah programme.

It provided free basic treatment services to residents in 15 people’s housing projects and public housing projects .Article type: free
