If you’re affected, you can apply to defer the student loan repayment until 31st March 2022. During the application, borrowers are not required to submit or present any supporting documents to apply.
According to PTPTN, the deferment of the loan repayment will be given for a period of three months from the month the application is approved. If the application is successful, borrowers will be informed via email within 3 working days from the date of submission. All borrowers are reminded to update their contact information so that they will be informed about the approval status of their deferment application. According to Higher Education Minister Noraini Ahmad, the option to defer repayments is in line with the government’s aspiration to provide relief to those who are affected. She hopes that the payment deferments would ease the burden of affected borrowers.
