PETALING JAYA: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob will address Parliament today (Jan 20) during a one day-sitting to discuss the flood crisis that hit several states last December.

According to the Order Paper, three other ministers will also be giving their briefings from the perspective of their portfolios; the Special Functions Minister, Finance Minister and Environment and Water Minister.

The order entails discussing matters pertaining to updates on the flood situation that occured at the end of last year, flood disaster management planning, assistance for those hit by the floods, and long-term flood disaster management planning. The Prime Minister had said the special meeting would be in accordance with Standing Order 11 , Rules of the Dewan Rakyat.Article type: metered
