PETALING JAYA: The Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a warning of continuous heavy rain in several areas across Sarawak from Friday (Jan 14) to Saturday (Jan 15).

"Continuous heavy rain at the severe level is expected in Kuching, Serian, Samarahan, Sri Aman, Betong, Sarikei, Sibu and Mukah until Saturday," MetMalaysia said in a tweet Thursday .Meanwhile, the department also warned of continuous rain at the alert level in seven areas in Sabah from Sunday to Tuesday .

The affected areas are Ranau in the West Coast, Tawau, Telupid, Kinabatangan, Beluran, Sandakan and Kudat.
