: The first overseas Hangzhou Asian Games fun run kicked off here on Sunday to promote the upcoming Games.

Tony Tarraf, head of the OCA’s Athletes Development Department and Special Projects, said the fun run was to promote sports and give an opportunity for people from all walks of life to take part and enjoy running. Tarraf said Phnom Penh was the first overseas city where the OCA has organised the fun run in a journey towards the upcoming Games.

“Hangzhou Fun Run in Cambodia is a warmup for that, and I believe that the fun run event, starting from Cambodia, will bring joy and hope to the vast land of Asia, boosting greater friendships in Asia and building anticipation for the Games,“ Chen said.NOCC’s secretary general Vath Chamroeun said the fun run event promotes people-to-people contact among countries and regions and the Olympic spirit.
