THE sanitary landfill in Jalan Byram, Pulau Burung, Nibong Tebal, caught fire today, involving an area of more than 8,000 sq m. Nibong Tebal fire and rescue station operations officer Noor Asfariza Mohamad Abdul Kadir said the first fire engine went to the scene after the station received an emergency call at 5.12pm and found the blaze raging with thick smoke billowing.
