Fama sets up Civil Defence Emergency Response Team to assist in future disasters

Fama director-general Datuk Zainal Abidin Yang Razalli officiated the team’s establishment today, which is in line with the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction 2015-2030 that emphasises that disaster risk mitigation is a shared responsibility, and inculcates a culture of integrated, planned and continuous training.

“On this basis, Fama staff need to be trained and given skills to assist relevant departments and agencies in channeling aid and providing emergency assistance to affected target groups.
