made salvation possible for the whole humanAfter two long years of a terrible pandemic that brought the world to a stand-still, we now, once again, hear this comforting message of Christmas from the angel, “Today a Saviour has been born to you; He is Christ the Lord”. What is more comforting is that we hear this message proclaimed to us as we sit in our churches. We dread to think of the Christmases of the last two years.
This year we want to celebrate a very different kind of Christmas; not like Christmas during the pandemic, not even a “pre-COVID-l9 Christmas”, but one that spurs our faith and hopes to journey into the future in the spirit of a Synodal Church. A Christmas that invites us to a personal encounter and friendship with God.
