Shah Alam OCPD Asst Comm Baharudin Mat Taib, in a statement, said that the accident on Jalan Sungai Buloh occured at around 4.20am Sunday .
The 22-year-old driver was believed to have lost control of his car when it crashed into a road divider. The victim was trapped inside the vehicle after the mishap. "Firefighters removed the victim but he was confirmed to have died at the scene of the accident. A 20-year-old woman, who was in the car at the time, suffered injuries and has been sent to the Shah Alam Hospital for treatment," he said.
The case is being investigated under Section 41 of the Road Transport Act 1987, for causing death by reckless or dangerous driving.
