Najib Razak says Pakatan Harapan and DAP played the ‘most important’ role in promoting the campaign to buy Muslim-made products.
In a Facebook post on Monday night, Najib said the BMF Facebook group, which was set up in last December, only had some 10,000 members until Aug 30 when Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad commented on the campaign. The next day, Najib said, DAP supremo Lim Kit Siang spoke on the campaign and the group saw an increase of 500,000 members.
Najib said Guan Eng had even challenged the masses not to buy handphones and as a result, the group’s numbers shot up to 1 million two days later.
