The doubles legend Razif has been elected as the Kuala Lumpur Badminton Association vice-president and he will also serve as the coaching and training chairman of the state programme.
KLBA will also be introducing the Punch Gunalan Badminton Championship to scout for talents at the grassroots to help build national badminton development while the 2022 Juara Jejak Project would be launched in June. Meanwhile, Datuk Seri Dr Jahaberdeen Mohamed Yunoos has retained his position as KLBA president for the 2022-2026 term after winning uncontested.
Besides the president post, Mohd Taupik Hussain also retained his post as deputy president uncontested. Besides Razif, two other vice-president candidates who also won were Sivamurugan Pandian and P. Thinavan. - Bernama
