PEOPLE need not worry about the halal status of imported chicken as the government will procure supplies from producers recognised by the Health Ministry, said Agriculture and Food Industries Minister Ronald Kiandee. He said two agencies have also been assigned to monitor the matter, namely the Islamic Development Department and Veterinary Services Department.
