KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) issued six significant warnings of continuous rain which were ignored by 'certain parties' involved directly in the disaster management, says Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.

KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Meteorological Department issued six significant warnings of continuous rain which were ignored by"certain parties" involved directly in the disaster management, says Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.

"The preparations to face the monsoon season were more focused on the east coast while there was the unusual flood in Selangor, which were unexpected by many," he said in his address in Parliament on Thursday . “In fact, the flood management in Selangor did not show any clear changes on the second and third day , causing dissatisfaction among victims," he said.
