SHAH ALAM: A witness testifying at the murder trial of Cradle Fund chief operating officer Nazrin Hassan was accused of lying in her witness statement by lead defence counsel Tan Sri Muhammad Shafee Abdullah.
Muhammad Shafee had told the court during the trial in early October that a watch and some foreign currencies went missing from the room after the incident. Muhammad Shafee asked Nur Ronal if she escorted Samirah upstairs after the firemen had doused the fire that had engulfed the room. “I put it to you that it was the fireman who brought her up,’’ said Muhammad Shaffe, adding that it was not Nur Ronal who brought Samirah upstairs.
Nepali security guard Raju Kumar Pandit had testified how he had prevented Samirah from entering the smoke-filled room at the beginning of the trial in September.
