Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said the index case was a 44-year-old man who tested positive for Covid-19, after a screening at the Sandakan airport on Sept 15.
“The patient tested positive on Sept 19 and is now receiving treatment at the Hospital Pulau Pinang, ” said Dr Noor Hisham in a statement on Sunday .
