There were 3,410 new Covid19 cases detected by the Health Ministry as of 11.59pm on May 12 (Thursday). Only 1,430 patients recovered from the disease. Read more at

According to the ministry's CovidNow portal, 3,405 of the new Covid-19 infections in the country were local transmissions, while there were 5 imported cases.

This brings the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 4,470,471 cases since the pandemic began. A total of 4 deaths were recorded on Thursday with no cases of brought in dead, bringing the total to 35,602.
