ALOR SETAR: A total of 106 students of Maktab Mahmud in Tobiar here have tested positive for Covid-19.

State health committee chairman Datuk Dr Mohd Hayati Othman said the infections had triggered a new cluster called Dah Penyarom.

Dr Mohd Hayati said the cases were detected after several female students showed symptoms of Covid-19 while sitting for their examinations. "The school then conducted tests on all the hostel students and so far, 106 have been found positive with the virus," he said.
