PUTRAJAYA: Malaysia reported three new Covid-19 cases on Wednesday (July 8), bringing the total number of infections in the country to 8,677.

Health director-general Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said all cases were imported cases involving Malaysians who had caught the virus overseas.

"There are two Covid-19 patients who are being treated in the Intensive Care Unit , and one case requires ventilator support," he said during his press briefing on Wednesday . Dr Noor Hisham added that five patients have been discharged bringing the total cumulative discharged cases to 8,466.He also said no death was recorded, keeping the death toll at 121 cases.
