KUALA LUMPUR: A disinfection operation was conducted at the Seri Petaling mosque.

The joint operation by the Health Ministry and the Fire and Rescue Department began at 9am on Friday ."Works to dispose of the carpets were also done, assisted by the police," the department said in a statement.

The Health Ministry has said that 40% of the Covid-19 cases are linked to the tabligh gathering at the Sri Petaling mosque.The country also reported three new deaths, which brings the Covid-19 death toll in Malaysia to 70 cases.
