KualaLumpur Kementerian Kesihatan memaklumkan bahawa kes ke-22 jangkitan Covid19 yang juga wanita warga Amerika Syarikat menunjukkan perkembangan status kesihatan yang sangat baik.

Pesakit berusia 83 tahun ini masih lagi dipantau di hospital kerana mengalami sedikit batuk dan diberikan rawatan antiviral iaitu lopinavir/Ritonavir dan bantuan oksigen.

KKM dalam satu kenyataan media memberitahu bahawa selepas lebih 72 jam diberikan rawatan, wanita berkenaan menunjukkan perubahan kesihatan yang baik. Oleh itu, ujian ulangan pengesahan Covid-19 sudah dijalankan sebanyak dua kali dengan jarak masa 24 jam bagi setiap satu ujian. Kedua-dua ujian ulangan ini menunjukkan keputusan negatif dan ujian pengesanan ulangan ini sudah dilaksanakan bagi memastikan kes sudah sembuh dan negatif Covid-19.

Terdahulu, wanita berkenaan antara penumpang kapal persiaran yang berlabuh di Kemboja pada 13 Februari lalu sebelum disahkan dijangkiti virus berkenaan ketika memasuki negara ini.
