PETALING JAYA: Nineteen teachers, ten staff members and 114 students tested positive under the Persiaran Tasik cluster at Sekolah Seri Puteri at Cyberjaya.

Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said the cluster was announced on Nov 29 when eight cases were recorded.

"The Sepang Health Department conducted screenings from Nov 26 to Dec 3 on 973 individuals at the school. "Of the 143 cases recorded, 106 were category one while 35 were under category 2A while two cases were under category 2B" he said in a statement on Friday . He said the patients were all in stable condition and all the teachers and students had been sent to MAEPS for treatment and monitoring."The students have been sent to Institut Aminuddin Baki and Institut Latihan Islam Malaysia quarantine stations, while the teachers and staff will be quarantined at their own homes," he said, adding that the school had been ordered to close temporarily for disinfection and cleaning purposes.
