Despite having fully vaccinated almost 98% of total adults against COVID-19 in Malaysia, COVIDNow reveals over 1.3 mil adults in Sabah, Kelantan, Pahang, Perak and Kedah have not received a single dose.

, 97.7% of total adults in Malaysia have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and 98.9% of adults have received at least one dose. This calculates to just 1% of the total adult population who are unvaccinated, but the reality is there are more unvaccinated adults than you think.

If you look at the national level, the dashboard states that 245,159 adults are unvaccinated, which is just 1% of the total population. However, if you look closer, there are 5 states which have not yet hit the 90% adult vaccination rate. To recap, the government lifted interstate travel restrictions when10-22% of adults in Kedah, Perak, Pahang, Kelantan and Sabah have not been vaccinated yet

As of 7th January 2022, the adult vaccination rate is 89% in Kedah, 88.7% in Perak, 87.7% in Pahang, 81.0% in Kelantan and 76.0% in Sabah. Based on COVIDNow data, Sabah currently has the largest unvaccinated adult population with 616,552 individuals, followed by Kelantan with 218,969 individuals and Perak with 191,710 individuals.

Kadar kematian dalam kalangan yg langsung tidak divaksinasi hampir 35x lebih tinggi berbanding lengkap divaksinasi.
