KUCHING: No new Covid-19 cases were reported in Sarawak on Tuesday (May 26), a day after the state detected four positive cases.

It said the tally of confirmed cases in Sarawak remained at 549 while the number of recoveries stood at 473, or 86.16% of all cases.

Data from the committee showed that 59 patients were still being treated in hospital, comprising 44 in the Sarawak General Hospital here, eight in Sibu Hospital, five in Bintulu Hospital and two in Miri Hospital.The committee also said 141 new persons under investigation were reported, while 155 PUIs were waiting for their lab results.

On the conditional movement control order , it said monitoring teams inspected 1,808 premises statewide on Tuesday for compliance with standard operating procedures. Among the premises checked were supermarkets, restaurants, factories, banks, government offices, hawker centres and construction sites. The committee added that it had received 30,922 notifications to date from various economic sectors which were resuming operations during the conditional MCO.
