PETALING JAYA: A total of 4,166, or 98.3% out of 5,097 Covid-19 cases recorded on Sunday (Nov 28) were in Category One and Two, says Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah.

The Health director-general added that the remaining 73 cases of the total Covid-19 daily cases were in Category Three, Four and Five.Meanwhile, Category Three cases experience pneumonia, while those in Category Four have pneumonia and require oxygen. Category Five patients are in a critical stage, requiring ventilator support.

Dr Noor Hisham also said that as of Sunday, there were 511 patients seeking treatment at intensive care units , of which 418 cases were confirmed Covid-19 cases, while the remaining were under investigation. “Some 261 cases required ventilator support, with 173 confirmed Covid-19 cases, and 88 probable cases,” he added.Dr Noor Hisham also said that the latest infectivity rate or Rt for the country was at 0.96, a slight dip from yesterday’s rate.This was followed by Kedah , Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya, both at 1.02.The Rt value refers to the number of people that a person who has the coronavirus will infect.
