DOHA: Kuwait Airways menggantung penerbangan keluar dan masuk dari Iran ekoran wabak Covid-19 yang dikesan di bandar Qom, lapor agensi berita Sputnik. Pada Rabu, media melaporkan 2 penduduk Qom meninggal dunia akibat dijangkiti virus tersebut dan mereka didapati tidak langsung berhubung dengan warga China atau mengunjungi negara itu.“Semua penerbangan ke Iran digantung bermula hari ini sehingga diberitahu kelak, selaras dengan syor Kementerian Kesihatan dan jabatan penerbangan awam,” kata syarikat penerbangan itu di Twitternya pada Khamis.
Pada lewat Khamis, pihak berkuasa Pelabuhan Kuwait turut menggantung semua laluan masuk dan keluar dari Iran. “Keputusan itu diambil sebagai langkah berjaga-jaga bertujuan mencegah penyebaran penyakit itu kepada penumpang,” kata KPA dalam satu kenyataan.
