KUALA LUMPUR, June 19 — The average Covid-19 daily cases must be below 4,000 for seven consecutive days for Malaysia to transition into the second phase of the National Recovery Plan .
“Alhamdulillah, the vaccination rate yesterday has reached 11 per cent and with the threshold indicator approach, we can move into the second, third and fourth phase,” he said in Bernama TV’s Ruang Bicara programme last night. It will be based on three indicators, namely the situation of Covid-19 transmission in the community based on the number of daily cases of infection; the capacity of the public health system based on bed occupancy rate in ICU; and the level of protected population based on the percentage of completed vaccination.
“We have the SEIR model projection and in the National Recovery Plan, we will look at the value of RT . If the RT stays at 1.2, based on the SEIR projection, we might record up to 13,000 cases...but due to the MCO 3.0, we managed to intervene until the SEIR projection is below one, namely 0.9,” he explained.
NRP, PKP, PKPD, PKPBD, PTPTN… This governance-by-abbreviation need to stop. What matters most is WHEN ARE WE GETTING OUR VACCINES?
Unfortunately there is no clear plan explaining how to reach less than 4000 daily cases during 7 days. Actual cases are around 5600 in average and it will take long time to reach this 4000 target if no additional actions are put in place.
500 lah
Menteri kangkung!! Lmao
What about the new covid variants? How will the current vaccine help with the new variants that spreads more easily? If normal covid they can't control, then will this vaccine work against the rest of the more deadly covid mutatations?
Just keep testing the number of cases low enough to make you look like things are better, but high enough to justify your silly Darurat, eh?
DrAdhamBaba where are the more testing you all promised? Cases down because tests down .. Don’t risk our lives !
Have we fully vaccinated 11% What is this minister talking about? I thought the target was 26m people meaning we need to vax 2.6m for 10%?
