PETALING JAYA: With the deferred 2020 public examinations now under way, the Health Ministry has reminded all those involved to comply with the guidelines in place.

"Examination candidates must ensure that they are healthy and free of symptoms such as fever, cough, flu, sore throat, and shortness of breath while at any examination centre."For that, candidates are required to fill out the Covid-19 screening declaration form to declare their health status on a daily basis."

Dr Noor Hisham said throughout the exam week, parents should always monitor the health status of their children, and inform the school of any symptoms."While at the examination centre, preventive measures should always be practised such as wearing face masks, frequent washing or hand sanitation, not sharing equipment or stationery with other candidates, as well as physical distancing.

"This should always be practised before, during or after the examination," he said.He added that candidates are also advised to limit their movement and reduce contact throughout examination season to reduce the risk of infection.He said the Health Ministry, in collaboration with the Education Ministry and school administrators, would always take appropriate measures to ensure that candidates are able to sit for the examination in safe and healthy conditions. headtopics.com
