Malaysia recorded 4,006 new Covid19 cases as of midnight on Sunday (April 24), says the Health Ministry. Read more at

According to the CovidNow portal, 3,999 infections were local transmissions and seven were imported cases.

This brings the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 4,394,125 cases since the pandemic began.There are currently 74,752 active cases, with 72,906 in home quarantine and 121 in Covid-19 Quarantine and Treatment Centres. There are 1,627 patients hospitalised and 98 in intensive care units, of whom 61 require ventilator support.The portal also reported that a total of 70,070,020 doses of vaccine have been administered, with 27,716,217 people having received their first dose and 26,556,870 having received their second dose.
