From the newly reported deaths yesterday, 25 percent or 29 died before they could receive treatment at a hospital, which is reported as"brought in dead (BID)" by the Health Ministry.Selangor recorded the highest number of new deaths at 33, or 28.5 percent of the newly reported fatalities.

The remaining deaths were in Penang (20), Kuala Lumpur (17), Sarawak (14), Kelantan (10), Sabah (8), Malacca (7), Perak (6) and Kedah (1).No new deaths were reported in Johor, Negeri Sembilan, Pahang, Perlis, Terengganu, Labuan and Putrajaya.A total of 66 out of the 116 reported deaths happened in the last seven days of which only 1 was from yesterday.

As of yesterday, there were 198,284 active Covid-19 cases.
