KINILENS | Covid-19 deaths: It's around-the-clock work for coffin maker

Coffin maker Shahrul Kamarulzaman works around the clock to fulfil the high demand following the spike in the number of deaths of Covid-19 patients who are to be buried at a Muslim cemetery nearby his workshop in Kampung Sungai Sireh, Klang in Selangor.

"I should be happy with many coffin orders because it means that my income also increases, but now when there are more and more orders come in, I feel scared and worried," said the coffin maker. As Malaysia crossed the 10,000-mark of Covid-19 deaths yesterday , Shahrul, who previously worked alone, has to hire an assistant to expedite the coffin making process.
