PETALING JAYA: Malaysia recorded 4,782 new Covid-19 cases on Monday (Oct 25), for a cumulative total of 2,436,498.

Health director general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said a total of 7,414 recoveries were also recorded, bringing the total number of recoveries to 2,334,783 cases."Six new clusters were detected, bringing the number of active clusters to 528," he said in a statement on Monday.

"Nearly 243 million Covid-19 cases have been recorded globally with over 4.9 million deaths recorded, according to statistics from the Johns Hopkins University. "Malaysia also shows a declining trend while Singapore and Brunei show an increasing trend," he said, adding that while Malaysia registered 180.91 cases per million, Singapore and Brunei showed 584.86 cases and 499.88 cases per million respectively.
