KUALA LUMPUR: The public has been advised not to hoard Covid-19 self-test kits and only buy the required number at any one time.

Malaysian Medical Association president Dr Koh Kar Chai said there was ample supply of test kits in the market, but panic buying could lead to a shortage.

"Healthcare professionals themselves do not test on a daily basis, unless they clearly need to do so.

It makes more sense to take the precaution of stocking up a few (based on family size) in case symptoms surface at night. The last thing you want is to walk around in public with Covid symptoms desperately looking for the kits and pass the virus to others. No?

Problem is when you need it, there is no more stock. Plus with the rate of infection, almost every other day end up testing
