Malaysia’s Covid19 daily case figures rose by 6,440 new cases on Friday (June 18), bringing the country’s cumulative cases to 685,204. Read more at

In a Twitter post, Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah reported that Selangor has 2,095 new cases - the highest in the country.

This is followed by Negri Sembilan , Kuala Lumpur , Johor , Sarawak , Perak , Melaka , Kelantan , Kedah , Labuan , Penang , Pahang , Terengganu , Putrajaya and Perlis .In the 24 hours span up to noon on Friday, 74 people died from Covid-19 in the country.At present, there are 894 patients under intensive care treatment with 451 on ventilator support.Since the pandemic began, 615,326 people in Malaysia have recovered from Covid-19.
