PETALING JAYA: A total of 446,052 doses of Covid-19 vaccines were administered on Wednesday (July 21), says the Special Committee on Ensuring Access to Covid-19 Vaccine Supply (JKJAV).

This is the second highest number of doses administered in a day, after 460,123 doses were given out on July 15.

In a tweet on Thursday , JKJAV said that 282,980 individuals had received their first doses while 163,072 others received their second dose. To date, this brings the total number of Covid-19 vaccine doses administered in the country to 15,517,866. JKJAV also said that as of 11.59pm on Wednesday, 10,584,885 people or 45.2% of the adult population had received at least one dose of a Covid-19 vaccine.

A total of 4,932,981 individuals have completed both doses of the Covid-19 vaccines, which represents 21.1% of the country’s adult population.
