Ketua Pengarah Kesihatan Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah berkata, terdapat 37 kes baharu hari ini membabitkan 19 kes warga asing dan lapan kes import yang mendapat jangkitan daripada luar negara.
"Jumlah pulih pula meningkat sebanyak 25 kes, menjadikan jumlah kumulatif kes sembuh sebanyak 6,635 atau 79.9 peratus daripada jumlah keseluruhan kes. "Jumlah kes aktif dengan kebolehjangkitan Covid-19 adalah 1,552 dan setakat dilaporkan hari ini, lima kes positif sedang dirawat di Unit Rawatan Rapi dan tiada yang memerlukan bantuan pernafasan," katanya dalam sidang media hari ini.
Menurutnya, daripada maklumat terkini Pusat Kesiapsiagaan dan Tindakan Cepat Krisis Kebangsaan , dimaklumkan terdapat satu kes kematian berkaitan Covid-19 dilaporkan hari ini. Justeru, jumlah kumulatif kes kematian COVID-19 di Malaysia sebanyak 117 kes membabitkan kematian seorang wanita berusia 79 tahun yang disahkan meninggal dunia jam 2.05 petang, semalam di Hospital Sungai Buloh," katanya.
