Malaysia recorded 17,577 new Covid-19 cases on Friday, with Sarawak recorded the most number of cases at 3,480. Read more at

Of the clusters reported Friday , 11 involved workplaces, six community clusters and two were identified as “high-risk group” clusters.

The cluster, which recorded 257 cases out of 355 individuals screened, was discovered following targeted screenings involving workers of a farm. The number of clusters, which had emerged since the pandemic broke last year, currently stands at 5,247.On Friday, the country reported 17,577 new cases, including three imported cases.Sarawak recorded the most number of cases at 3,480.
