Covid-19: 162 new VOC cases detected from Jan 23 till today, says Dr Noor Hisham

KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 25 — A total of 162 new Covid-19 cases which are categorised as Variant of Concern were detected from January 23 to 25, said Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah.

“This brings the cumulative total cases infected by the SARS-CoV-2 virus, which are categorised as VOC and Variant of Interest to 7,056.Dr Noor Hisham said overall, until to date, for VOC there were 6,188 Delta variant cases, 601 , 233 and 14 . On the latest Covid-19 cases, he said 4,066 cases were recorded today with 50 cases in categories Three, Four and Five while 4,016 cases comprising Categories One and Two.
