Court strikes out negligence suit over teen killed by falling chair

THE High Court in Kuala Lumpur today dismissed a negligence suit filed against the government by M.S. Kasthuribai, the mother of teenager S. Sathiswaran, who was killed by a chair thrown from a block of low-cost flats four years ago. In a lawsuit filed in April last year, Kasthuribai named Kuala Lumpur City Hall , the Federal Territories Ministry and the federal government as defendants.
