KUALA LUMPUR: Bukit Aman is ready to support the Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Ministry through joint operations to curb cooking oil subsidy leakage.

Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Acryl Sani Abdullah Sani said the Bukit Aman Internal Security and Public Order Department director had met with the ministry’s secretary-general on Monday .

"It was agreed that joint operations would be held, and arrests and seizures would be handed over to the ministry for further action," he said in a statement. "Between January and June this year, at least RM38.24mil worth of subsidised items have been seized by the department.
