Bukit Aman said that four cases had been investigated by the police on the matter with the two most recent cases in September.Another suspect had touched on racial sentiments in a posting on Aug 16.Lastly, the fourth suspect had allegedly uploaded a video that police say showed intentions to breach the peace.Bukit Aman CID director Comm Datuk Huzir Mohamed in a statement issued Thursday , said that the arrests were made on Sept 11 in the Klang Valley and Seremban area.
"The arrests were the result of a combined effort by the police, and the MCMC , which helped in tracing down the account holders," he said. The police advised the public to not make any postings or share matters that touch on the sensitivities of religion, race and royal institutions on any social media sites.
"Such actions can lead to unrest and the breach of peace among the public, and disrupt the unity and harmony of the country," said Comm Huzir. On a similar matter, Comm Huzir said that the police had started investigations into a case where both the Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah and Raja Permaisuri Agong Tunku Hajah Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah were insulted on Twitter.
