KUALA LUMPUR: Bukit Aman is looking for a man and a woman in connection with viral recordings of fake information during the movement control order (MCO), says Comm Datuk Huzir Mohamed.

The Bukit Aman CID director said the voice recordings warned people of a so-called full lockdown for 10 days.

"Their information is simply not true. It is fake news and we want to track down these people as there are more recordings out there that have been made by them," he said during a special interview at Bukit Aman on Saturday ."Their fake news and information have caused public unrest, including panic buying.Those with information can contact the Bukit Aman CID Special Investigation Unit at 03-2266 6179 or the unit's head Supt Fazley Abd Rahman at 012-383 7767.
