Kuala Lumpur Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department chief Asst Comm Sarifudin Mohd Salleh said the incident occurred at about 3.30pm on Friday .
"They were driving dangerously along Jalan Kuching heading to the city centre. We managed to track down the drivers and detained them at about 10pm on Saturday after recording their statements," he said when contacted on Sunday . He added that the men are aged 47 and 33 and would be charged under Section 42 of the Road Transport Act 1987 for driving recklessly, he added.
"One of the drivers tested positive for methamphetamine. He will also be charged for a drug offence," he said. ACP Sarifudin urged those with any inquiries or information to contact Jalan Tun H.S. Lee Traffic police station at 03-20719999 or the KL police hotline at 03-20260267/69 or any nearest police station.
