GEORGE TOWN: Police here have arrested five men over a fight between a group of car towing workers at Tun Dr Lim Chong Eu Expressway on Wednesday (Jan 26).

George Town OCPD Asst Comm Soffian Santong said the suspects are aged between 26 and 50, and were detained in various parts of the city shortly after the incident.

ACP Soffian said in a statement on Thursday that personnel from the district police headquarters were unable to stop the fight, adding that those involved fled once the police motorcycle unit and mobile patrol vehicles arrived. "We will seek a remand order against the detained suspects later at the Magistrate's Court," he said, adding that police are tracking the remaining suspects involved in the fight.
