Cooking oil price control programme to continue till next March

The Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Ministry says the government will extend the cooking oil price control mechanism programme that has been in place since August till March 2022. – The Malaysian Insight file pic, December 9, 2021.

THE government has agreed to extend the cooking oil price control mechanism programme until March next year at a cost of RM150 million, the Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Ministry said. In a statement, the ministry said the matter was agreed in a special meeting of the National Action Council on Cost of Living which was chaired by Prime Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob today.
