A stint in prison can have adverse consequences on their susceptible minds.

| As the army and police tightened their grip on the movement of people around the country, the number ofhas exceeded 4,000, with over 1,400 charged. Among them are young people caught for going out to play in their youthful exuberance, or were just out to get some fresh air.

When the government announced a partial lockdown, the people had yet to come to terms with a new style of life where they have to stay at home and not venture out during the enforcement of the movement control order . It must come as a big shock to them to be suddenly hauled away to a lockup where the environment is one of unremitting dreariness and harshness. Worse still, if they had to rub shoulders with hardcore criminals.

The bigger picture is the mental and emotional health of these young faces. Once so buoyant, a stint in prison could dramatically alter their psychological well-being to the extent that they might not be able to face the world with confidence once they walked out free. A young mind is susceptible to all kinds of influence. When a teenager is in a lockup, he or she has for company older inmates who might turn out to be bad characters. Many ugly things can happen behind prison bars.

At times, these youngsters have to learn the hard ways before coming to their senses.

So we let them float the law and in the process may take death to someone's door steps. Every action has an equal reaction. Plain and simple

They should act responsibly and grow up!

Sometimes that's the only way they will understand the true nature of the offence!

Then shut up and obey d rules..

Society passing uninformed vindictive opinions on the reason and magnitude of violations, effective measures for increasing compliance and the severe consequences to the injustice of authoritarianism in action is problematic an unbecoming of a civil society.

So treat them candies?

If not treated like one they won’t realise the consequences

No offense they will become one

If they are as rebellion as the West, we will be looking at way more death bodies. Hardcore offenders get hardcore treatment. There's no mistake or people die.

Now we see the true colours of Msian society. On one side, stubborn. On the other side, vindictive.

teach them a good lesson if their parent cannot teach them
